Deep Listening with Horses: A Doorway to Growth

Summary: A Deeper Way of Listening

When we shift our attention from the brain-dominated self-in-the-world to the body-centered self–in-nature, other faculties can emerge, opening us to a deeper way of listening. Stepping back from the distractions of our hyper-stimulated culture, returning to our senses through body awareness, we can connect more deeply to both inner and outer worlds. The practices in this workshop help us re-align with the elements: earth, water, air and fire.  We also come into the presence of horses, where our capacity for deep listening can be awakened through silence and bodily sensing. This workshop is for those who want to “hear” more deeply, and to use this deeper way of listening as a doorway to healing, insight, and inner awakening.

Limited to 5 participants.

Facilitated by Rosalyn Berne at Willow Oak Farm, in Troy, Virginia.

The cost of $825.00 includes meals. (Lunch, dinner, and snacks throughout the day. Local and organic foods whenever possible. Individual dietary preferences, food sensitivities and allergies will be accounted for in preparations.)

Suggested accommodations: Best Western Plus, Crossroads Inn

To attend, please email your completed application to rosalynwb@gmail.com.

Note: There is no horseback riding in this workshop. Contact with horses is done through ground work. Use of electronic devices during the day is strongly discouraged.  Though not at all religious, there are spiritual elements to this gathering. The dates listed are for Willow Oak Farm.
